New CINSF Board Members

The CINSF has recently completed the advertising and selection process for the CINSF Board
Representative roles.

The Contributors Representative position was the final position to be decided on. The position
received 9 nominations from across the membership and was decided on by 141 validated member
votes. The successful candidate was Olivia Heather receiving a total of 49 votes.

Olivia is the Chief Financial & Operations Officer at Vonnias, she has a Bachelor of Commerce in
Accounting and a Graduate Diploma in Finance from Auckland University, a Chartered Accountant,
and holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific. Olivia recently completed her
Certification with the NZ Institute of Directors and is also a Director of the Cook Islands Investment
Corporation.

In other representative roles Rebecca Puni has been appointed as the Chamber of Commerce
Representative, John Tini has been reappointed as the Cook Islands Workers Association
Representative, and Heinz Matysik has also been re-elected as the Non-Chamber of Commerce
Employers Representative. The appointments will come into effect from 1 November 2024.

The CINSF is also undertaking public consultations with members to strengthen the Governance of
the Fund including the rebalancing of responsibilities and proposed changes to the Board
Representatives. The proposed changes will provide a more robust selection process for all Board
positions requiring Board Representatives to pass fit and proper person tests, provide for skills,
qualifications and experience in the industry.
